Good video. But you also have to realize that every one of those guys were most likely on steroids at the most, or testosterone at the least. Also, they had a perfect diet that was paid for by the studio. If you train like that year round, you WILL overtrain and go backwards. It's the same deal with MMA. If you CONSTANTLY train year round like you're going to a fight, you'll overtrain. These kinds of workouts are good leading up to an event, but keep it natural, and take at least 3 days off a week.

It looks more like a fun game, than an intense workout. When my knees heal, get me a couple of my friends to compete against and keep me company and I'd love to do this 6 days a week! I always was addicted to this sort of stuff. Embarassed

I doubt very much that they were on steroids... they wouldn't do something so dangerous for a part. They just had amazing trainers.

As for their workout: I did their "test" last week and didn't think too much of it.

If you know how to take steroids, and do it properly and in correct doses, you can get away with it with not many bad side effects. It's not that dangerous, way too hyped if you ask me.

Interesting. But keep in mind, this study is for ADULT MALES ONLY - guys over twenty five, who have already stopped growing. Does anyone know whether it's legal to take these drugs in CA?

They are illegal. If you are old, and test for real unusually low testosterone levels, you can legally get them prescribed, but not at crazy body building levels. Just to get you back to a normal healthy range everyone else is at.

Does 21 count as an adult for steroids?

I know my instructor took steroids in high school. He said he never had any side effects and he was ripped.

I also know steroid effects are permanent (what they do is make muscle fiber split - which doesn't happen normally - which is why they make you stronger). So my question is - is it worth it to take steroids? Since I'm not going to be competing for a while, I could use them, reap the rewards permanently, and stop long before I compete, never testing positive...

You know, that seventy year old guy isn't exactly frail. How much weight is he pumping? I think I wouldn't wanna fight him.

But then what would be the point. To be stronger in a quicker way that has a high probability of hurting you? Why not be patient and workout with supplements that are legal and work? Seems to me that those who take steroids (without any financial/competitive incentive or reward, like baseball players) should work on psychological issues. Seriously, though, it's like an eating disorder (like anorexia) for men. There's no need. We already train enough and are pretty healthy.

Sorry guys -- and gals --, didn't mean to seem like a goody goody. surrender

Dude, at 21, you practically are already on steroids naturally Laughing

You probably have 50% to 100% more testosterone than someone who is 40.
If you wanted more in your system you would be putting yourself into the body building ranges, and then you could get side effects, and although they are over hyped from what I can tell, you do not want something permanent like b**** TITS! ROFL

Its so obvious on some of the UFC fighters...gross.

To do that level of steroids, youre gonna really need to do them right or you could screw s*** up bad. You'll need estrogen blockers and all that crap, what a mess. At 21, I see no reason to even consider them, seriously.

I guess they all men in their primes, did a lot of conditioning exercises, and focussed a lot more on cardio envolved exercises than basic ones that target specific muscles.

So they gave their heart a beating, and kept it heavy, but not too heavy on the muscles.

That's my guess to your question jack.

Option 2: 10-12 hours really means 3 hours.
