My buddies just wear the glasses...then take them off to Roll.

Now for Eyes closed rolling: for a beginner it will have some but a limited rewards. For someone who has trained a few months/years it can be very beneficial.

My favorite drill is eyes closed flow rolling (not holding a position or submission), move from position to position. For me this really helps the game flow instead of how it often can be for folks: think, try one thing, think, try something else, think...as an advanced Blue this is really applicable to people like me as I have a bunch of techniques in my bag of tricks but do not put them together like a high belt would.

Had a blue belt in my academy a few years back, he was legally blind, he used to house people!
