I am thinking about getting a past UFC event and was wondering which one would be great to get a hold of from a BJJ point of view.
Let me know what you think and why, thanks. |

I'm not sure, but out of the ones I've seen, UFC 81 definitely comes to mind. Big Nog vs. Timmeh and Mir vs. Lesnar 1. Ricardo Almeida's also on it.
The same week I saw UFC 81, I went and took my first BJJ class--and I've never looked back! _________________ Blue Belt

I can't remember the numbe of the event but the ufc match between big nog and Jason brills is an entertaining match on the ground that I'd recommend, at one point even a crucifix is attempted which is rare in mma _________________ double r wrote:

Do you mean lil nog? That was ufc 114. Big nog never fought brilz.
Yeah, go after ufc 81. Minotauro's game was sick. Marquardt vs. Jeremy Horn, Mir vs. Lesnar, and Ricardo Almeda v...idk. I forget his name. Anyway, great event for jiu jitsu. |

I was VERY impressed with Sotiropolous after seeing him dominate Joe Stevenson at UFC 110, he has very smooth and dominant BJJ. |

| Any event with Nate Diaz has been fun to watch as well, I love the way that his takedowns and submission attempts are relentless and how he somehow usually seems to end up with a triangle. The nice thing about those is that a number of his fights were in TUF or free UFC events so you can stream them for free from the official website. |

yup, 1, 2 and 4. I would say a lot of people owe their inspiration to take up BJJ to these events _________________ Blue Belt under Master Andre "Dedeco" Almieda

| I'd have to give it to UFC 118...James Toney showed excellent ground skills. |
