You know him has Groundfighter, but to me he has been great friend and awesome coach/instructor. Now he is also Professor and Faixa Preta!
Congratulations Don!!!!

hail

And here is the crew of black belts that positively beat the f*ck out of him today. Makes me want to just stay a blue belt forever. It was brutal! Shocked

FYI: Faixa Preta is black belt in Portuguese for those who did not know.

Imagine a fresh black belt attacking you every 2 to 3 minutes (while you are still engaged with the last BB) for 20 minutes.

Thats Sergio Farnes. I don't know what he weighs now, but I think he was over 400 when he won his division at Pan Ams (don't know what year(s)).

By the way, Sergio got his black belt today also (just him and Don), so GO SERGIO! I didn't mention it before becasue I don't think he reads this forum.

Thank you it was a proud day. I really appreciate everyone that helped me, Bryan Glenn helped prepare me for the inevitable ceremonial beat down you get when on your special day. Eric helped got some good video and pictures. I am 49 and weight 142 so don't make me use my superior size and strength against you. LOL
Thanks again everyone.

Don

Awesome Don!!! That is such a great story. If I am able to stay in the sport and train diligently, I should be right around 49 when (hopefully) that day comes for me. I will hit 40 this year.. just made blue about a month ago. Whew.. this road is long.

Congrats again, well deserved!
