By the sounds of it, Marcelo Garcia, and Fabio(?) were screwed over by the Americans who employed them:

When Cobrinha goes to fight in the EU, he trains with Marcelo for a few weeks first. When the Pan Ams or Worlds are afoot, Marcelo and his people and guys from Atlanta and FL (including Brazil) etc. all come to L.A. to train at Cobrinha's. The Alliance family is still a family, not conjecture, I was/am here.

Interestingly, this Josh Griffiths individual - who i'd never heard of until now - claims his school is New York's 'Premier BJJ Academy'...when Renzo Gracie and John Danaher are teaching in that city, as well as Marcelo Garcia.

Your write I am not a big time writer i just write for small little blogs and i did not walk in here to start drama. There is no need for name calling I was just trying to dig around. MGs school would not talk about it. And alliance Atlanta said no but NY Alliance said yes. Relax where just talking in here what ever we say really mean nothing to these guys.

Dude, seriously - if you want to be any sort of writer at ALL, you need to start doing some research on your own. And, maybe, just maybe, get a proofreader.

Who did you talk to at any of these schools? Random white belts? Black belts running things? Did you get names? I run tournaments every weekend, and I find that most white belts (and a lot of blue belts) have no clue who their gym is affiliated under, or the subtle nuances of how those affiliations work.

Never heard any of the Alliance guys say a bad word about Marcelo, and never heard that he wasn't a member of the team.

Everything about him still lists him as a member of Alliance. I don't see anything indicating he's not part of Alliance.

Says a member of the Alliance team. What would you know about it?

This whole thing is suspect. I've heard that Marcelo is part of the Illuminati and that Alliance is a CIA front. Y'all been warned....

I already no that there is drama with Alliance and MG I know that he fucked over Someone from Alliance to start his own school. Then he turned his back on Alliance. Maybe I should do a story on that? I just know he is not the most liked person in the BJJ world in NYC.

When making serious allegations, some evidence would be nice. Youre talking about some of the greatest black belts of all time after all. This is plain F-ed up.
I dont want to see this kind of negative gossip on this site. (I run this site).

If there is real evidence, I have no issue, but 100% pure negative rumor crap, is over the line.

Oh geez.... where to begin...

Okay, your errors are followed by my corrections, within parentheses, highlighted in red.

Also, in order to maintain parallelism in your list [which is what the closed-ended multiple choice answers "yes" and "no" actually are: a list], you would need to either capitalize "Yes" and "No" or leave them both lower case, but not have one capitalized and not the other. Finally, your question requires a question mark at the end. Duh.) I just want to write this story about the NY open. Unless you are a pirate.)that none of his team member (should be the plural "members") had any alliance patches at all.

There you go. A writer would know all of this, and would have made none of those elementary mistakes.

OK where to begin.
1. I'm not sure why, but this really personally offends me.
2. Marcelo is, has been, and will continue to be of the Alliance family.
3. Marcelo has his own association which his students compete under, but also continues to compete and have his students compete under the Alliance banner at the major tournaments. (where you see his students under his own association at the majors, it is because we have more than two people in that particular category)
4. Who the F^&* are you, and why is it your business to be "just digging around" to find out Marcelo's and the team's personal business?
5. If you honestly wanted to hear it from Marcelo, GO TO THE SCHOOL AND ASK. Yes, the dude is too busy for someone who really is NOT a journalist, calling to ask a question for dubious reasons, so I doubt the people who answer the phone would have him stop teaching and doing real business for that. All said, Marcelo is and has always been one of the nicest and most forthcoming guys in the art.
You sir are full of shyte.

I forgot nothing.
I assumed, since this is Marcelo we are talking about, that it was like in the Bible where "He" and "His" is capitalized when in reference to G o d.

Except for faceless troublemakers, I've never heard anyone say Marcelo is mean. He's generally considered the nicest guy in BJJ - one of the reasons people from all teams come to train with him. You're obviously a troll and are you really wasting your life stirring up this crap? Why not train or break out a copy of the AP Style Manual and study it?
