Hey all..
just wondering, specifically from people that train at least everyday..
do you use any protein supplements and if so what do you use, im a bit lost when it comes to which proteins to be taking and what not.
My goal is firstly for recovery but also for more muscle definition.
I've been taking syntha 6 by BSN which seemed ok.
Also wanting to give NO-XPLODE try, people with experience with these products or other good ones, any insight would be dearly appreciated! |

I take syntha 6 and I like it. NO-Explode made me feel terrible. I have also talked to other people who have had the same reaction, it felt like a bowling ball was in my stomach, and it made me poo like crazy.
JACK3D by USP Labs was much better imo. No jittery feeling and I had no ill feelings in my stomach, plus it was cheaper. Pre-workouts get mixed reviews as far as usefulness go though. |

HI,
I have taken both products NO-Xplode and synthia6. They are both good products but No-Xplode is ment to take it before fitnes training, it is not good for cardio training or in you're case bjj. Synthia 6 should do the trick (recovery) but if you want definition you should also take care of nutrition as a whole, cus definition is a result of hard training and good nutrition plan.
I did a little test on myself before European in Lisbon this year. I trained bjj 6 time per week and 3-4 time running in the hill in the morning for cardio and i didn't take any suplements at all!! I just eat good and quality food (chicken, brown rice, vegetables etc.) with no sweets and my conditioning was top notch.
To make a long story short, protein shakes are good to take but if u don't take them you wont do no harm if you nutition overal is good. |

Supplements are exactly that, supplements. They're not meant to replace a nutritious diet. Do your diet first, then add supplements if needed (most isn't). |

I currently train 7 days a week and close to 35 hours a week (both conditioning and jiu-jitsu). I have a good diet of chicken, brown rice, and veggies. For my supplements, I only take a select few things. I take the GNC triple fish oil and GNC Triflex both for my joints. It is essentially a lot of glucosamine. Training so much puts a stress on my joints and the extra glucosamine has helped me out a lot. I mainly have noticed in in my fingers. My fingers dont hurt so much anymore from so much gi training. I also take a Acai supplement that helps boost my metabolism as I am trying to drop weight. It is all organic and is made from Acai and therefore also a good detox.
Overall I have been feeling really good even though I am training so much. But I agree with everyone else. As long as your diet is good, you dont really have to take any supplements. _________________ "The rest of you can go to HELL! ... I am going to train jiu-jitsu in TEXAS!"

| I may just stick to Syntha-6 but start to add some more clean eating to my diet, i eat shitloads of breastchicken as it is, but im thinking maybe i should add brown rice as well by the sounds of things. |

Brown Rice and Sweet Potato are both good complex carbs. Another thing you might want to add to your stack is a post workout. The next day I don't feel sore or tired, however It's a bit on the expensive side and a little hard to find but it's great. |
