Either way though, in order for a woman to take a 230lb knee on belly withought effort, she has to train harder than a man her size to do the same.
Just genetically, men are built stronger. The man will develop the muscular power to withstand the pressure faster. |
Obviously men are stronger, in general. We're also faster.
However, women have an uncanny ability to think things out reasonably, to care for children, to make us look like awkward morons, and to manipulate us through their wily charms. They're naturally more flexible. They can take pain that I KNOW I couldn't take (childbirth).
If I didn't have a girlfriend, I would not be where I am right now. She keeps everything I do from falling apart.
So, women might not be as strong, but that doesn't mean much. Anybody who dismisses women as "insignificant" is an idiot.
Can we drop the men/women thing now? |

100% agreed. I'm all for this. I always say, men and women both have their strong points. Just wanted to fix someone's post lol. |

Fantastic then!
I have a friend who says almost all the fighting styles on that show could beat BJJ with ease. |

| Well, he's just badly informed. Go against him, with only BJJ, while he can punch and kick all he wants (give him gloves if he is good). Then kick his ass. I personally like to rush RNC, but go ahead and takedown, mount, etc. |

I did that. I let him start in top position (mount), to emphasize my point. I rolled him from mount, passed his nonexistent guard, and did an armbar. We went again and I showed him guard and guillotine, then flipped him and took mount again.
I would have started standing up, but we were doing it in my mothers office. It wouldn't have ended well with all the computers and whatnot. |

You let him strike??? starting from mounting you?
If not, try letting him strike at you. Most people will take it more seriously when they realise they can't land a strike on you. |

We decided on body shots, and leg shots, only.
He's finally gotten the idea, and...he wants to learn it. It's great. |
